“My innate fascination with making things was evident from an early age. Anyone who’s met my parents will no doubt have been regaled with stories of spoons going missing or furniture being drawn on in my never-ending quest to create art. My official introduction to the world of jewellery came at 6 years old, when my best-friend took me to see the goldsmiths’ studio beneath their Bermondsey Street apartment.
This exciting cave filled with tools, mockets and intricate jewellery would act as a spark for the ever-burning creative fire that still drives me today.”
“After years of being surrounded by other creatives and cultures from across the world, I have grown from ‘just another Hatton Gardens goldsmith’ into a business owner who is proud to create heirloom jewellery for clients both old and new.”
“My approach to design is driven by my love of architecture, where anamorphic forms contrast with straight lines to find balance in the unbalanced, evoking interest and turning heads with each handcrafted piece.”
Victoria’s commitment to sustainability..
Following her degree studies in Metalwork and Design at Kent Institute of Art, Victoria pursued a postgraduate at the prestigious Bishopsland Educational Trust, before undertaking a residency at Glasgow’s School of Art.
Once Victoria moved back to London in 2009, she set up her own business, alongside working freelance for influential jewellery designers which led to Victoria receiving various accolades, including Best Newcomer at the 2010 British Silver Awards.
After (?) years in Hatton Gardens, Victoria made the trip ‘Up North’, where she has established herself as North Yorkshire’s premier bespoke Jewellery maker.
It wasn’t long before Victoria outgrew her initial storefront in Skipton‘s Craven Court and has now expanded into a larger space on Otley street, where there is sufficient room to accommodate everything from consultations to production and her two dogs (name&name)… a necessary move as Victoria’s client base grew exponentially.
A proud sponsor of the London Jewellery Oscars since 2021, Victoria’s passion for jewellery extends to the wider industry, reinforcing the necessity of reinvestment - a sentiment which is exemplified by Victoria’s stocking of fellow independent makers such as Hannah Bedford, Yen Jewellery and Dagmar Korecki.
Every great design starts with an idea and as a career Goldsmith, there isn’t a day that goes by when Victoria isn’t thinking up her next in-house project or putting a client’s dream, bespoke piece of jewellery on paper.
At Victoria Coleman Fine Jewellery, every piece is crafted with precision and care. Using the highest grade of silver, platinum or gold, Victoria ensures that each piece is perfectly drawn up before making its way to the workbench…
Once Victoria is happy with the finished product,
